I was sitting in the ocean yesterday, letting the water rock me back and forth while waiting for Mother Nature to bring me one of those glorious, open faced waves when I was jolted out of my daydream and into reality by a friend’s comment.

Surfer Girl: Julie, I had no idea you offered online fitness & nutrition coaching.

Record sccccrrrratchinnnnnng…Reality check.

Me: Wait, what?? Really??

Surfer Girl: I know you offer services here (Tamarindo), but I didn’t realize that my sister Anna in California could work with you. She does yoga and would totally be into your surf & beach vibe….

Me: (no response, just sitting there stumped, thinking to myself, doesn’t my friend get all my non spammy facebook updates, newsletter, and promotional offers? Haven’t I belabored the point?)

Surfer Girl: You know, my sister Anna could really use your help. She mentioned to me that she is struggling to get her baby weight off. It’s stressing her out a bit, because she’s about to go back to work and her suits aren’t fitting. And she doesn’t want to have to buy new work clothes. I told her to get some help but she said it’s too expensive. Plus, she’s not the type of gal that is going to walk in the gym and hire a personal trainer. She’d be too intimidated.

Me: (finally words) How did you find out then?

Surf Girl: I overheard Nick telling one of his clients at the gym. It makes so much sense, I am going to tell her about your services.

Me: Amazing. Thanks! (still somewhat shocked)

The point here took me a minute to figure out. But I finally got it.*

Just because YOU think you are communicating something, does NOT mean you actually are.

So, lesson learned. (Although I should already have known this from all my years in sales:))

Online Fitness & Nutrition Coaching gives you an opportunity to work on your fitness and health goals with us from anywhere in the world and from the comfort of your own gym or home. It also offers a fitness and nutrition plan individualized to you, so it works with your lifestyle and preferences.

It’s like having your own Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach on call at a fraction of the cost.

How Online Coaching Works

Once you sign up, we initiate the process by having you fill out a few forms so that we can learn more about your fitness goals, and how we can best help you reach them. Based on the information gathered we will create a personalized workout schedule for you for the month (both strength and cardio workouts) + individualized nutrition guidelines that used in conjunction will catapult you to your goals.

We will then schedule an initial call with you where we will go over all the details of the exercise and nutrition program created just for you. We’ll walk you through the online software that the workouts will be housed in (more about that in a second), explain the nutrition plan designed for you, and you’ll be able to get any additional questions you might have answered.

You personalized workouts + schedule will be uploaded to software called Trainerize, so you have access to it wherever you have an internet connection, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Within Trainerize you’ll have access to a library of exercise videos that correlate with your workouts, so you feel confident you are doing the exercises correctly. You’ll also be able to track information about your workouts and email us directly within the portal with comments and questions. It’s really cool software that I know you’re gonna love.

Over the course of the month, you’ll have a level of accountability and support from us through email and/or skype, depending on which package you choose. Once you’ve completed Month 1, we’ll see how far you’ve progressed, make the appropriate changes to your program, and you’ll be all set to start Month 2.

All of our packages require a minimum of a 2-month commitment. This is the best way to create lasting change. You will notice the cost of the initial month is higher due to the in-depth work to put the individualized program together for you at the beginning. Then you move into a maintenance mode (month 2) with a reduced monthly rate that you continue on for as long as you’d like.
